Tredwel the hero of the match claimed 4 important wickets, a first time world cup player bowled like much experienced bowlers, in a close situation like that, a new bowler would have stumbled up with rush of pressure and thoughts but Tredwell fought like a worrier even if the hammer was hitting England with two failed UDRS and one catch that was taken close to boundary line and because of unavailable camera angle it was hard to make out the clear picture, finally third umpire Simon Taufel made the decision on the favor of batsman.

After little bad luck Tredwell came back with his spell and claimed the wicket of Russell then who has already scored 49 in just 46 balls played superb innings for WI but remained unfortunate against the ping-pong spin of Tredwell. That was the turning point of the match

Be it with India, South Africa or even against West Indies every match had has a thrust value and nail biting experience, an amazing world cup for England. Winning a match where batting team chasing a mere last 27 runs keeping three wickets in hand and loosed the match by 20 runs, it indicates a great magical effort by bowling team and that somehow England bridged the gap for quarter final.

Chris Gyle started the innings with a tornado and hit 43 runs in just 21 balls , smith got out attempting a big hit to tredwell’s ball Tredwell and trend of wicket falling started here DJG Sammy made a solid stand to iron out west Indies contributing 41 runs, but haunted by Bopara in a crucial partnership breaking situation.

Pollard and RR Sarwan played a slow and steady phase to save Indies, but Swann kept on putting pressure by a tight bowling spell and finally irrited the batsman and took both Pollard and Sarwan’s wicket, here onbwards the hope of West Indies started fading and faded with a close loose. Now the group is in uncertain for quarter, Bangladesh will face an uphill task to beat SA to qualify for quarter final.
