Pakistan row into semi-finals, with a Big-Bang..!!

Bangs in the ground of Mirpur with full of cheering supporters Pakistan rocked with a mega win over West Indies; Pakistan got all the support as if a home ground’s blissful cheering supposes to be. Pakistan has given a memorable bowling show for their supporters though giving them a complete thrust of psychic excitements.

West Indies won the toss and tossed down on the ground from the very third over of the match, the dangerous Chris Gayle was the first target of Umar Gul and then after the trend of wicket falling continued for a short period of time, where West Indies lost their three valuable wickets. Two veteran Returned from the squad S Chanderpaul and Sarwan were the two wheel of West Indian chariot, but they couldn’t traveled much for long in front of Pakistani aggressive fielding set up, as Sarwan broke down in midway.

Specially credit goes to Shahid Afridi the man with a spinning weapon troubled them a lot and finally brought breakthrough for Pakistan in 25^th over, still the hope for a good score was expected as Pollard came down for batting but every hope went faded as this was a day for Shahid Afridi he again bowled a superb bowling spell following his foot step MD. Hafeez and Saeed Ajmal too spelled a memorable bowling spell and kept on taking wickets which was a disaster for West Indies. Only batsman Chanderpaul stood till last with a brave performance but no one else given him a supporting stand in his persuasion and West Indies all out in just 112 runs.

A small target of 112 Runs was looking small enough for Pakistan and was easily achieved by Kamran Akmal’s 47 runs and Md. Hafeez’s half century(61 runs) Pakistan won the match by 9 wickets, with this victory Pakistan enlighten the hope for finals in this world cup and became the first team to qualify for semi-finals in world cup 2011.
