PM to watch Indo-Pak semi, ESS inventory on fire

With Indian Prime Minister sure to visit Mohali to watch the crucial India Pakistan semi final match in the ongoing Cricket World Cup, the craze is an all time high. He has in fact also invited Pak President Asif Ali Zardari and President Yusaf Raza Gilani to come and watch the epic fight as his guest

Official broadcaster ESS is negotiating selling the residual inventories at astronomical prices, which is natural.

The last report of the sale value per 10 seconds of the residual inventory was Rs 2.4 million, though ESS has never commented on that report. But even this could be topped.

“Prices will be much higher, let’s say than those of the night before India beat Australia. There is a huge increase in corporate asking us for inventory. The negotiations are on, and may be in a day or two the contracts will be sealed,” a top ESS official told SportzPower.

He did not, however, say that the PM’s visit would be a factor in the growth in interest of inventory purchase. That will add a lot of glamour on ground, he said.

Meanwhile, media reports say that there is a massive surge in the cricketing frenzy of corporate, and Mukesh Ambani is sure to come, and Bollywood stars are also making a beeline to Mohali and high voltage scramble for tickets is on.

It may be recalled that in lesser matches too, Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Shahrukh Khan and others had made it a point to attend. Mukesh and Neeta Ambani were prominent among the corporates even in the India Australia match on March 24.

The clash of titans, and deadly cricketing rivals India and Pakistan will only take the frenzy to another height altogether.

However, security will be a serious issue and sources told SportzPower that Central intelligence and security agencies, especially the VVIP security agency will take over the ground as early as possible to ensure ‘not even a half chance of anyone getting in with mischief in mind.

This will mean that the ordinary fans would have to reach the venue much earlier, as roads in an around Mohali would be sealed for the VVIP movement, sources said.

Checks at gates will be fastidious, and sales of edibles (especially soft drinks in cans or bottles) and any other item that could be hurled anywhere within the stadium will possibly be allowed. The position on the sale of bottled water is yet not known.
